Cafeteria Information & Hot Lunch Menu

Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 - 8:20 a.m. in the cafeteria each morning.  Breakfast is FREE to all students.  It's a great way to start the day.

Forest Park Lunch Prices 2009-2010

• Elementary - $1.60 per day ($8.00 per week)
• Middle/High School - $2.00 per day ($10.00 per week)
• Extra Entree - $1.25 per entree
• Extra Milk - $0.30 per carton

The cafeteria offers a salad bar everyday for those who do not want the regular menu items.  We use low-fat and low-cal dressings on your salads and we offer a large variety of items to choose from.  This a great way to get your "5 a Day".

The cafeteria offers 1% chocolate milk and 2% white milk everyday.  If someone has an allergy to milk, we offer a substitute with a note from a licensed physician.  Also please fell free to call Arlene Mitchell, Food Service Supervisor, at 875-6432 with any questions.

On the Ala-carte, pizza and salad bar with other specials served daily.  Ala-carte line purchases will remain as cash only.  Lunch cards may not be used in the ala-carte line.  There is one exception, if a student has paid for hot lunch, he may choose salad from the ala-carte line in place of the main dish on that day.

Students will be issued bar coded I.D. cards for hot lunch and milk purchases.  Students in middle/high school are responsible for keeping track of their own cards.  Elementary students' cards will be kept at school by their individual classroom teachers, and handed out to students each day.  If your card is lost or damaged, please let the office know and a replacement card will be issued.  A $5.00 replace fee will be charged the third time a card needs to be replaced.

Weekly lunch payments are required.  However, parents are encouraged to prepay for meal purchases up to a month or longer.  Parents are reminded to keep a positive lunch balance.  The Forest Park Food Service Program would like to remind parents that meal accounts are DEBIT accounts and not CREDIT accounts.  Please maintain a positive balance in your family’s account at all times.  When a family's balance of -$25.00 is incurred, the student will be served a peanut butter and jelly sandwich until the account is brought up to date.  All parents are encouraged to take advantage of the free and reduced price meal programs if there is any possibility that they may qualify.
